Hillcrest (IL) vs Loyola (IL)

Loyola defeated Hillcrest 61-47 In a game that was much closer than the score indicated. The first half of the game was a battle with multiple lead changes for both teams. IUPUI commit Trinity Duckworth(Hillcrest) led all scorers at the half with 13 points. In the second half, Loyola was able to get some distance on the scoreboard by knocking down clutch shots from behind the arc. The Hawks of Hillcrest were unable to stop the bleeding as Duckworth got into foul trouble. Loyola took advantage increasing the lead to as much as 17 and pulling out the win.

Northwestern (IN) vs Maine West (IL) 

This game was a battle of two heavyweights from start to finish. The game began with a series of runs by both teams. Maine West was led by Oregon commit Angela Dugalic in the first half with 10 points. Northwestern was led by 6’1 2020 G Kendall Botticelli with 14. The second half of play began with a 16-0 run by Maine West. Northwestern eventually scored with 2:45 left to go in the third quarter that turned into a 17-0 run by the tigers. The third quarter ended with Northwestern leading 52-45. In the fourth quarter, the two teams continued to battle but unfortunately Maine West leading scorer and rebounder Angela Dugalic fouled out with 1:14 to go in the game. Maine West continued to fight, but Northwestern proved to be too much. Angela Dugalic led Maine West with 22points & 10 rebounds. Northwestern was led by 33 points from Leyden Madison & 19 points by Kendall Bostic.
