State Farm Holiday Classic

Morton beat Geneseo 79-48 in a game that was all but over after the first quarter. The Lady Potters jumped out early and never looked back thanks to Lindsey Dullard and her game high 28 points. Morton’s defense was stifling as they held Geneseo to 21 points in the first half and a commanding 32 point halftime lead. Morton remains undefeated and will take on the winner of Lincoln Way West vs Kankakee.

In the second quarterfinal game, Lincoln Way West defeated Kankakee 77-52. The Warriors of Lincoln Way West put on a shooting display that you had to see in person to believe. They made 13 3’s with 12 of them being made by the Gugliuzza sisters. Taylor made 6 with a game high 26 points. Ava made 3 and scored 20 points. Tara also made 3 and scored 11 points. Up next is the winner of Richwoods/Marist.

Marist downs Peoria Richwoods 73-66 in a matchup that was tightly contested from start to finish. Marist was led by 2021 G/F Sydney Affolter who finished with 27 points. Affolter scored in a variety of ways leading her team and the Lady RedHawks did a great job moving the ball around for a bunch of open shots. Richwoods was led by UIC commit Jaida McCloud and her 30 points.
