10/25/20 Example Sports T.A.P. Write Ups
While covering the Example Sports “Train and Play” workouts that they have been hosting on Sunday, here are a few players that shined during this Sundays (October 25th, 2020) workouts.
2023 G Jasmine Brown was dynamic in every way. She showcased everything in her repertoire on offense and did it at a high level. Her ability to score was on display and she did it from all spots on the floor. Brown attacked the basket to score and also made plays for her teammates. She played at an incredible pace and was able to get wherever she needed on offense. She also rebounded both ends and played good defense.
2023 G Erin Henry played offense and defense with great energy. She affected both ends of the floor equally and did it every game. Erin easily got to the rim with her straight line drives and was able to finish in traffic. Her toughness and grittiness was also shown as she defended the best perimeter player every game and made it tough for them. She rebounded the ball very well and pushed in transition.
2022 PG Mikayla Huffine showed why she’s a true point guard. She showcased an ability to run a team and get everyone in spots where they can be successful. She made the right play and pass every time she went downhill, which allowed her teammates to get easy baskets. Huffine also put constant pressure on whoever she guarded and made it difficult for them to make plays.
2021 PG Brynn Tabeling showcased a great floor game in her games. She looked to get all of her teammates involved and also picked her spots to make to be aggressive in scoring herself. She made some excellent passes and even threaded the needle on some passes in tight spaces. Brynn also was tremendous in keeping plays alive with her offensive rebounding.
2021 G Leah James had a really good showing. She gave max effort every game and her energy was infectious. James was able to get to the basket and finished with both hands. Her ability to guard multiple positions benefited her team and she took advantage of mismatches. She also did well banging in the paint with bigs and rebounded well.
2021 G Tahlor Sutton is fearless! Every game she attacked opposing defenders by putting them on their heels whenever she drove the ball. Her ability to finish in and over bigger defenders helped her team and she was crafty when doing it. Sutton stretched the floor with her jump shot by knocking down threes throughout the day. Defensively, she was in the face of whoever she guarded and played very physical.
2021 G/F Autumn Jones was relentless every game when driving the ball to the basket. She was able to get plenty of high percentage shots in the half court, as well as in transition. She was physical on defense when guarding opponents and she guarded bigs and guards. Her size and strength helped her rebound and she was able to push in the open court also. Overall she played well!
