2023 5’8 G Jasmine Brown is in her first year of high school and is already the team leader at Joliet Catholic (IL). She has impressed since the first game of the season and doesn’t look like she’s slowing down anytime soon. Brown’s game is diverse as she’s able to showcase a variety of ways to impact the game and attack opposing teams. She also plays with an aggression that’s usually unseen for a freshman on the varsity level. Jasmine has a sweet stroke with the ability to shoot it from far beyond the three point line. She’s relentless when attacking the basket and does a good job finishing through traffic. Brown makes plays for her teammates by facilitating and making the right play. Her ability to play at her own pace is a huge asset to her game. Defensively, she plays the passing lanes very well and is able to jump passes using her quickness. Jasmine enjoys the physicality of the game and doesn’t shy away from the banging in the paint. Her willingness to get inside with bigs shows her toughness and is also a major reason why she rebounds the ball well for a guard. Brown shows a ton of promise and will be recruited by a plethora of schools as she continues to round out and progress in her skill set.
