2022 5’11 G Miyah Brown is going into the summer riding high. Coming off of her second straight All-State selection at Winnebago High School(IL), Brown enters summer ball with high expectations. She’s able to impact the game on both ends of the floor. Offensively, Miyah is exceptional in the open court. A large part of her success in transition is due to her athleticism and ability to get from one end of the floor to the other in a few seconds. She’s also good at penetrating gaps and getting to the basket with straight line drives. Brown uses her size and length to her advantage. She’s able to finish over smaller defenders and with her leaping ability, she finishes through bigger defenders. At almost 6’0, Miyah is able to see over guards and her height allows her to make passes that shorter players can’t. She shoots the midrange shot well and as she continues to expand her shooting range, her offensive game will soar to higher levels. Defensively, Brown can be a menace for opposing teams. She can guard multiple positions and can do it without many problems. This skill allows her coach to put her on the opposing teams best player, regardless of the position. She’s a willing rebounder and is able to start fast breaks with her ability to handle the ball in the open court. Brown’s trajectory is pointing up and won’t be coming down anytime soon. #@MiyahBrown10 #@UP
