2021 5’6 PG Timia Ware had a tremendous junior year and has a lot of momentum as she gets ready to keep it going this summer. She had a very productive season at Whitney Young(IL), which included a 39 point game and a triple double game to say the least. Ware displayed her many offensive skills throughout the season and showed why she’s one of the top players in the country. Her variety of moves and counter moves off the dribble is a huge reason why she’s a tough cover. Timia is an elite ball handler and can get wherever she wants on the court. That skill allows her to get her own shot, as well as create shots for her teammates. Another plus offensive skill that Timia possesses is the ability to shoot off the bounce and equally off the catch. She uses her athleticism to raise up over defenders when showcasing her midrange shot and can score very efficiently on all three levels. She is simply a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. Her impact is felt equally on the defensive side of the ball as well. She’s very strong and laterally quick. This quality allows Timia to guard players effectively on the ball and create havoc. She’s excellent in the passing lanes and can turn steals into points at the blink of an eye. Ware rebounds the ball like a big and can make her mark on the glass on offense and defense.
