2023 5’7 G Erin Henry completed a positive freshman year at Plainfield North High School (IL). Erin relished the opportunity to be able to get her feet wet on the varsity level while contributing, and she did just that. Henry can be summed up as a max effort kid that plays with tons of energy. Erin’s energy is infectious and is seen as soon as she steps on the floor. Her ability to guard and do it at a high level is her best asset. She can be a terror for offensive players as she gets into them and pressuring them full court. Henry is very quick laterally and uses her strength to keep her opponents in front of her. She also can guard multiple positions because of her physicality and she does it very well. She rebounds well from the guard position and can push it in transition with her speed. Offensively, Erin is growing in her game. She attacks the basket hard and welcomes contact. She’s good at drawing fouls and finishing at the basket well. Her midrange shot is improving and helps her score the ball in different ways. One offensive skill that sticks out is how productive she is in the open court. With her exceptional speed, Henry flies past defenders in transition, allowing her to get easy points. She also makes good reads with the ball in her hand. As she continues to expand on her shooting range, she will continue to be more of a threat and cause problems for opposing teams. Erin has plenty of room to improve and expect her to do so with her great work ethic.
