2020 5’9 G Imani Williams has a lot of momentum headed into her senior season at Kankakee high school. Williams contributed tremendously in her junior year to a team that finished with over 30 wins. She also followed that with a national runner-up finish on her AAU team. Entering her final year, Williams will be leaned upon to do more than any of her previous years and shouldn’t have a problem excelling in that area. Imani is a “stat sheet stuffer.” She can make an impact in every category on the offensive side of the ball and does it with little effort. One of her best attributes is her ability to see the floor and make timely passes. Imani does a great job facilitating for her teammates and also at picking her spots in the game when to attack the basket. Her midrange shot has improved and as she starts to expand her range, she’ll become an even better offensive player. She’s a plus rebounder and she uses her strength and physicality to overpower her opponent when attacking the glass. Defensively, Williams can guard every position. Her size and quick lateral movement allows her to keep guards in front of her and her power and athleticism helps her to defend bigger players. Imani is an excellent rebounder on the defensive end and also does a good job altering and blocking shots. Expect Williams to finish out her high school career leaving everything she has on the floor.
