AVA GUGLIUZZA

LINCOLN WAY WEST (IL)

2023 G Ava Gugliuzza has been highly impressive in her first year of high school basketball. One of three sisters starting for Lincoln Way West (IL) and is a huge reason why the Lady Warriors have a real chance to compete for a state title. Ava has been as consistent as any player on Lincoln Way West and she’s done it for the entire season. Her offensive skills have stuck out more than any other part of her game. She fearlessly attacks defenders off the dribble and can do it going both ways. She also has the ability to stop on a dime and knock down the pull-up jump shot. Ava has a remarkable understanding of the game and always makes the right play whether on the ball or off the ball. Her best offensive asset is easily her ability to shoot the ball. She’s a plus shooter off the dribble and equally as good when spotting up. Defensively, she does a good job anticipating passes and getting steals. Ava is usually in the right spot and communicates well with her teammates. She has progressed throughout the season and continues to impact games at a high level. Her high school career looks promising and she will definitely be one to watch out for in the very near future!
