KELBY BANNERMAN

2021 6’1 F Kelby Bannerman had a very successful season at Hampshire High School(IL) and is confident heading into her summer season. Bannerman was able to improve from her last year by adding to her offensive repertoire. With her size, most of her points come in the paint and she’s able to do major damage there. She’s very patient on the block and does a good job feeling where her defender is before making her moves. She also finishes around the basket with both hands so she’s able to put moves together on both sides of the block. One of her better attributes is her ability to shoot the ball. She shoots the ball well from all three levels and her ability to knock down the perimeter shot makes her a hard matchup for opposing bigs. Kelby can also beat defenders off the dribble so she showcases many ways to score the ball. She runs the floor well in transition and plays with a high motor. Bannerman is very effective when rebounding and does a great job reading the ball off the rim. She’s an intelligent player and is always in the right spot defensively. She also uses her long frame to alter and block shots and does well at walling up around the basket.
